Keep Your Business Safe With COVID Barriers

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, working in an office has felt very strange. Many companies have unfortunately had to close their doors for good, while others are adjusting to this new way of doing business.

For many businesses, a work-from-home approach has been implemented but there are still plenty of employees spending their workdays physically inside the office. Whether your business is open to having employees indoors or not, no one truly knows what’s to come of this pandemic and the future.

Now is a great time to focus on improving your office layout and making some COVID-related adjustments. Installing COVID barriers can help keep employees, customers, and anyone else who might enter your building safe from the spread of germs.

With glass barriers or plexiglass barriers, you’ll be able to open your doors sooner and remain compliant with the majority of COVID guidelines. Make sure you’re still requiring everyone who enters your building to wear face masks and practice social distancing, as well. Masks and distancing certainly help, but COVID custom barriers will significantly help limit the spread of pathogens that can lead to the flu, common cold, and COVID.

Here are the three types of sneeze guard barriers that Flower City Glass can make and install inside your office:

Lexan: This material is made of polycarbonate resin thermoplastic and is more flexible than both plexiglass and regular glass.

Plexiglass: This style of barrier is made of acrylic and is lightweight and also much more scratch-resistant than Lexan shields and stronger than standard glass material.

Tempered Glass: This material works best for permanent office applications – the glass is a more suitable option due to its stability and strength compared to plexiglass and Lexan.

Which material will work best for your business depend on where exactly you want to have these COVID barriers installed. If your barrier is only temporary and not a permanent solution, Lexan or plexiglass shields are easy to move, install, and still work well to prevent the spread of germs throughout your office.

From design to installation, Flower City Glass will provide quality products and set them up for you in the safest and most effective way possible. We take pride in our work – especially during these trying times – and focus on being not only responsible to the environment and our clients, but to our entire community, as well.
